Message: If you are still buying new alternators and starters for any type of vehicle, you are overpaying. Take them here to get an honest test and rebuild. My alternator was putting out the voltage and amps partially. It would read good, but it wasn't. I picked it up 2 hours later with new brushes and a handshake. It works great, and the engine lights as well as my stereo are not going on and off anymore. The best part is that my JEEP starts every time. Help a small hometown business stay.

Message: Brought in an old tractor starter to repair.. tested immediately in front of me- it works fine! Danny took time to diagnose and troubleshoot my situation. A-alternator did not make money from me yesterday but made me a loyal customer for future starter/alternator issues

Message: The mechanic I hired advised me my alternator was trash and I should have him replace at over $800. 00, others at the marina suggested I just take off and drive over to A-Alternators and have them look it over and if needed to rebuild. Drove over and they tested and gave it a clean bill of health, turns out it was a bad connection which the "Mechanic" should have known.. Great group of honest guys at A-Alternator!

Message: Don't buy a new, used, or rebuilt alternator or starter, take it here and have it rebuilt for you. It will save you money and the owner is high character and has been doing this for decades! It cost me more for a mechanic to have my alternator removed and reinstalled than it did to have it rebuilt! Drop it off in the morning and pick it up about lunchtime, you will think it's a brand new one. Rewired, new brushes and bearings, sandblasted, painted, and tested for quality control. I was impressed with the work, prices, and time it took. Got to visit with the owner, an ex-police officer, and was impressed again with his character. If he tells you something you can bank on it! It's somewhat difficult to find honest people in the auto services industry, when you do, you stick with them as long as possible. I will use his services and refer him as long as he operates.

Message: Great Work! They fixed my windlass motor for @ $100 in 2 days (a new one was $1500 with a month wait). Glad to have a company like this around. They actually fix parts.. not a parts changer!

Message: THANK YOU DANNY! I can't express my gratitude of your very quick and genuine response to trying to help me "test" my alternator, which other shops/auto parts stores, said they could not do. You told me "come on in". You are 1. 5-2 hours away from me, depending on routes, but I went anyway. I truly needed an HONEST opinion as if my "old alternator" was really bad or not. I had some minor flood damage to the carpets in the car. I also had the dummy light on for the electrical system for 5 years! The shop and others said my alternator was bad, so I bought a new one. The new one also was reading "failed" with the 'up to date' scanner. Since I had NO problems for the last 5 years, I wanted another opinion. Sure enough, the staff member(sorry didn't get his name), hooked my old alternator up on the bench and immediately verified it was GOOD! Then he checked my car, and all good too, even the new alternator. He took just a few minutes to actually INVESTIGATE the dummy light. Turns out, it was just a missing fuse! NOTHING WRONG at all. He took one of the spare fuses from my fuse box and replaced it. I did pay them to reinstall my old alternator, at a very reasonable fee, and no hassle excuses! Danny said that if I ever have problems with car parts/issues, feel free to call him, and he may be able to help. I may be female, but not an idiot when it comes to cars. I can't stand people taking advantage of anyone. I will drive across town for any quality work with any sort of business IF I feel trust. Again, thanks Danny and your staff! Jennifer.
