Message: Always helpful every time I come and I always have a great experience! The owner has helped me with my previous car, as well as my new car he doesn’t play around prices he’s honest and gives a good price.

Message: Phenomenal experience! I have a 2016 Infiniti QX50 and the thermostat started getting hot. Got my oil checked to see if it was the coolant. It sure was, there was a leak. They told me not to drive it. We found Larry’s place and it was super close to where I was so I took a chance and drove over. When I say best experience at an auto mechanic, I mean it. I drove up, he immediately got to work on my car, had an estimate before the end of day and totally repaired and ready to go by the next day. He had to replace the radiator. Fair price and so knowledgeable. I don’t know anything about cars and he spoke to me so I could understand what was going on. Lol! Excellent work and customer service! We will be going back to Larry at Japanese Auto repair for life!

Message: As usual Larry took care of me. A refill of freon and change cabin air filter and AC is freezing me out.

Message: I called and left Larry a message regarding my son's car. He returned my call the next morning, and we were able to get the car in that same day. My son is at Texas State in San Marcos, so I thought I would need to drive there to assist with this. Nope! Larry worked with him on the diagnosis and did not try to take advantage of his lack of knowledge or BS him. This will be our son's mechanic moving forward! Thank you Larry!

Message: I got my rear brake rotors resurfaced and a full brake job from this guy and he did a great job! It's been a few months and still no noise. Also, he won't ever try and scam you. He is honest and a nice mechanic. I even called a few days ago to see how much he would charge to fill up my tires with air since most of the gas station air pumps were broken in the area and he laughed and said "why would anyone charge you for that" and did it for free. Just goes to show his good character.

Message: This guy is awesome! I called all around San Marcos to get my ac fixed. I was quoted over a $1600 from every shop and told that there were probably other problems than the ac. I go here and the guy gives me a super low price, no extra charges or hidden fees. And fixes my ac to where I have to turn it down cause it’s too cold! This guy does the best work in San Marcos hands down. He also has a great guitar collection. Really cool guy!

Message: Straightforward and honest auto repair. Larry is a machine and runs just about everything at the shop.. He had my Scion diagnosed in 5 minutes and had the alternator replaced in less than 24 hours.. Definitely will come back here for routine maintenance of my Scion while I'm living here in the SM area.

Message: Larry is awesome. I've been bringing cars to him for over 10 years - Mazda 626, Ford F-150, Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey. He's always done a fantastic job, no complaints from me what-so-ever. I've never walked out of his shop dissatisfied w/ his work. More than fair price, doesn't try to sell unnecessary repairs, honors his parts & service warranties w/ out even being asked.. and he's saved me literally thousands of dollars on major repairs. I will continue to use and recommend him as a trustworthy, quality mechanic.
